So, After a launch of the Goo.gl by Google (Not only of Google Products via Chrome & Firefox Add-ons) Youtube Gets its own youtu.be short URL for Youtube Videos as per the official announcement on youtube blog. So, youtu.be is not really a short url for sharing on the social network like twitter as To use  youtu.be manually, simply take a URL like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FdeioVndUhs and replace the”http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=” with “http://youtu.be/” to get: http://youtu.be/FdeioVndUhs Plug that shorter URL into a browser, and you’ll see it redirects to that video.

After looking at the youtu.be so called Short URL, you might feel that it is not the short url like goo.gl or bit.ly or any other, but only benefits of the youtu.be short url is that users of the same would now that it is a youtube like and not the spam on other site. You can also use the  Auto Share to link up your YouTube account to social networks like Twitter and Google Reader. Which enables users to post the  favorite videos on the youtube to the social network automatically along with the youtu.be short url.
