One of the most common problem for all the beginner when they start their blog on the wordpress & need to write small piece of codes in their post is that they have to undergo a real waste of time while they are searching alternatives to find the prefect plugins or hack to write simple and clear codes on their blog post. Moreover, if Bloggers end finding the plugins which help write the codes clear, plugin would have a drawback of switching off the visual editor of the wordpress (Which would not be recommendation for all the bloggers around the world at least beginners).
For the Same reason, thought of sharing combo of two most useful WordPress Clear Code Plugins to write codes within the post along with Visual Editor on.
- Syntax Highlighter Plus :
It is a Wordpress plugin for writing codes within the post and Highlighting the codes on the basis of the language (Supported Languages listed here) used in the codes. It is an enhanced version of the original Syntax Highlighter. It allows you to easily post syntax highlighted code all without loosing it’s formatting or making an manual changes. The Only drawback of this plugin is that, to work perfectly you need to turn off your Visual Editor. Direct Download or Official Plugin Page of Syntax Highlighter Plus.
Now that, you are ready with the codes in the HTML format for your post, but you need to solve the problem of Visual Editor on / off, which would be solved by the Visual Code Editor.
- Visual Code Editor :
Visual Code Editor stop the basic WordPress commands which take the codes in the post as the real code of the site / blog and hence do not show or modify the codes. Code format is preserved when using the visual editor, as it adds <pre> & <code> to block format menu. It will work with any syntax highlighter that accepts encoded/escaped syntax. Direct Download or Official Plugin Page of Visual Code Editor.
Now, type your all codes just like your are writing the simple paragraph. Just add
//[ sourcecode language="php"] // your code here // [ /sourcecode] // This is how the Codes look on your blog
before and after your code and change the language instead of “php”. Enjoy
