Now, you can send you name to the moon, with the help of the Nasa’s LRO [Lunar Reconnissance Orbiter] Project. Plans are under way by NASA centers and educators to spread the word about the upcoming Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter and the Lunar CRater Observation and Sensing Satellite mission to the moon.
The two satellites will launch together aboard an Atlas V rocket with liftoff scheduled no earlier than Nov. 23, 2008. LRO/LCROSS is the first launch for NASA’s new Explorations Systems.The LRO/LCROSS mission hopes to discover what the moon has to offer for the future moon dwellers.

Since May 1, NASA has invited the public to join the excitement of the first mission in NASA’s exploration program to return humans to the moon by 2020. LRO, which is scheduled to launch later this year, will map the lunar surface in extraordinary detail and help future human missions to the moon locate safe landing sites and vital resources on the moon.
There is still time to be part of the adventure and send your name on a mission to the moon.
1. Go to the Address http://nasa.gov
2. Then Click on the Missions Link on the Top of the Page, which 3rd from the Left of your Screen.
3. After you do Step 2, you would be reaching the following page, where you have to go at the end of the page, and find the different Missions under the label of Mission Finders.
4. Find the Mission under the Letter L – and Click on the LRO [Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter]
5. After that find the below picture at the right side of your page, which says Add your Name to Moon.
6. Clicking on the link would send you to this Page, and when you enter the name you would be provided with the digital certification from the nasa, saying and conforming the Name of yours on the Moon. Enjoy
Now your Name is on the Moon Very Soon……
Note : Participants can submit their names at the LRO web site and print a certificate. The names will be placed on a microchip that will be installed on the LRO spacecraft and travel to the moon. The deadline for submitting names is June 27, 2008.
