Restore Windows Vista to Factory Setting


One of the best option available to the users of the Windows Vista installed on the dell, when you need to format and reinstall the vista is the Restoring the Windows Vista to the Factory setting /configuration. Before you even think of Vista restoring to the Factory setting, let me tell you that you must back up all your information data on the OS partition as it would format & restore the original settings of the Vista as if it has just came from the factory.

Steps to Restore Windows Vista to Factory Setting :

  1. Restart the computer.
  2. While the computer restarts, press F8 key from the top row of keyboard, which would land your screen to Advance Boot Options.
  3. Find the option “Repair your computer” on Advanced Boot Option Screen and Press Enter.
  4. Select the language setting that you want.
  5. Log in as a administrative user and click OK.
  6. Click Dell Factory Image Restore Option at the End of the Option available.
  7. Click Next & Yes, reformat hard drive and restore system software to factory condition.
  8. Click Next. The computer is restored to the default factory configuration.
  9. When the restore operation is completed, click Finish to restart the computer.

In would hardly, take 5 to 10 Min to restore your computer to the factory setting as compared to the reinstallation of the vista after the manual format of the drive.
