As you would be knowing, that today is 1st April,which is celebrated as  “April Fool’s Day” world wide without a hoilday but with huge lot of pranks, jokes and hoxes. Google is one of the Majors on the Internet, and Google would for sure play some pranks, jokes to their visitors, and they did this time around also, I noticed did you ? if not, then here is your chance to know it.,

Google’s 2009 Pranks & Jokes :

Google Announcement came across to visitors of Google Main Page and Google Book Search declaring a new “Cognitive Autoheuristic Distributed-Intelligence Entity” which included Announcement Time : March 31st, 2009 11:59:59 pm. The Google Search Home Page linked to the CADIE Announcement which stated that below :

” For several years now a small research group has been working on some challenging problems in the areas of neural networking, natural language and autonomous problem-solving. Last fall this group achieved a significant breakthrough: a powerful new technique for solving reinforcement learning problems, resulting in the first functional global-scale neuro-evolutionary learning cluster.”

which was then linked to the CADIE Offical Site (Which is Nothing but a Fool Blogspot Blog) and a Huge Article labeled as Technical information. When you visit CADIE Offical Site it would nothing but a Blogspot full of the Panda every where and nothing else which a mention on the Google Offical Blogpost too, with the heading of the post as “CADIE Awakes” you can have a look at it below :

Google did it on Youtube Too ! and it was really nice., On April 1, 2009 Youtube provided some of the users around the world with “new viewing experience” when they selected a video from the section called as recommended for you, on viewing the recommended video users screen would flip upside down. It was not available for all of the users, but it can still be viewed by adding &flip=1 to the end of a video URL. Another Google CADIE Prank continued on Youtube with featured YouTube video of the panda by the user called Cadiesigularity with profile view saying “Cadie – the world’s first Cognitive Auto-Heuristic Distributed-Intelligence Entity“

Google Earth also had the CADIE with the underwater location on the Google Earth Download page., where you can even download the KML File to chat with CADIE via Google Talk.

Google Maps was also doing what other google services where, showing a small panda instead of a yellow man in the right bottom of the Google map screen and also a “CADIE’s recommended places for humans” link in Google Maps, which leads to the “Panda Mapplet”

Google Australia on April Fool Day introduced Google Gball stating ” New! Get the newest football technology – gBall” to be used in the Australian Football leaugue with GPS technology. The gBall is $10 upfront, with subsequent payments on a cost-per-kick basis, with the cost determined algorithmically, depending on time of day and distance kicked. However, costs will not exceed the amounts shown in Table 1. Watch for GBALL FAQ

Google Chrome Offered the Users around the world with Download Google Chorma with 3D Effect powered by CADIE. You can also download you copy of 3d glass pdf file to print your Glasses to be used with Google Chrome 3D. If you hit Download, Google Chrome does render the RGB channels with an offset, but does not produce a true 3D-type red-and-blue colors image, see below Image for Download Page.

GMail introduced new Google Gmail lab Feature of AutoPilot. The link can be found on the top right corner of the Gmail inbox.
