Google, One of the Internet Giants is working of one of the most awaited and interesting concept of having single user id & password over the internet (All the possible online sites which require login authentication). Single Master Password or Single User ID verification is what a further of the internet. Making millions and millions of internet user’s life more easy by not remembering each and every account details of the sign up over the internet. Not even the users, but the Webmaster or Website owners to have a hard time as they are not able to get new visitors due to creation of new account and yet another password.
Google recently posted about “Cutting back on the password over the internet” on their official blog. Google with the help of the cutting new technology over the internet have started making this possible “Eliminating the need for passwords on different online site registration” and in turn forecasting the successful registration rate to be over 90% as compared to current below 50%.
Some Example of Cutting back Password via Google Accounts includes the Plaxo and Facebook, which lets the new user to register through their services by providing the Google Account information, which in-turns becomes the respective site login information. the hybrid onboarding model improves authentication security because websites like Plaxo that use this technique never see a password from you at all. Since you don’t have to enter your password on additional sites, your password remains closer to you and is less likely to be misused.
Hybrid onboarding is also being used by Enterprise Software-as-a-Service vendors — such as ZoHo. Yet there is a long way to go for google to intergrate this amazing technology of Hybrid onboarding to the common users over the internet. But, I am very very sure, this would be in the wishlist of most of us, who have trouble managing hundreds and hundreds of login and password for different sites over the interent.
There is still a long way to go before you’ll be able to trim down your long list of website passwords, but this progress demonstrates the potential for even the largest websites to adopt to adopt the hybrid onboarding model. We hope many other websites will follow.
