One of the most important new enhancement made in the Word 2010, part of Office 2010 is the Backstage View. Backstage view is available under the file menu, which provides the users with ability to work with document they have created. Some of the functions included are Save, Save as, Print, Print View, Open, Send to with a bit of change as compared to Word 2007. Lets explore the all the major enhancement made in Word 2010 via backstage view :

Features of Word 2010 Backstage View :

1. All New File Tab : File Tab in Blue is the enter & exist point of your Backstage View, so that you can find the backstage view more easier then ever. I personally found really hard to find the Office button in Word 2007.
2. Recover Unsaved Documents : Under the Info Section Under the File Tab, you find a really large button named as “Manage Versions”, this is where you can recover all the version of the current document, even if you have not saved it or accidently lost the document. One of the most liked feature of the Office 2010 is that, they care about your work and helps the user not to loss your hard work.
3. Properties :  It is one of the Oldest Features, but given that how many times have you used it to the full use ? The answer is very rarely. Now with this features, you can see the properties of the document while it is open, from “Properties” Button on the right side of the Info Section under File Tab. Properties includes, Size, Pages, Word Count, Title, Tags, Comments & Total Editing Time for the Document.
4. Total Editing Time : Now that we have a enhanced Property feature in Word 2010, it track the Total Editing Time for the respective Tab and can be found right under the Properties Heading Under Info Section.
5. Recent Files : All new layout for the Recent Documents under the Recent Section Under File Tab, You can Pin the Documents, so that they are not overwritten by the new documents, making it a reference list for all the important documents.
6. Printing Word 2010 : It is one of the most difficult part of the Word Document, as users are not available to set the print style, size or margin. Print section along with a built in Print Preview makes it a piece of cake for all the new users. 2-Sided Printing, special Paper Size, and Printer selection are just a few of the clearly displayed options in the Print section.
7. Share Online : Now that if you have a Sky Drive Account, you can directly save the document into your Sky Drive via login with live ID. Easily store your document on the web to a Personal Folder or Shared Folder or even create a new Folder all through the Backstage View, Full support for all the Web Office 2010 Application Live.
8. Save As : Now you can Save your Documents in various formats like PDF or XPS without any add-ons or external software from Acrobat. Other Sharing options includes; Send Using E-mail: share a link to your document, send it as a PDF/XPS, or send it as an attachment.
9. Enhanced Help Feature : Help Function in Office 2010 is directly linked with Office 2010 Website, so if you need a help of some of the advanced features like Mail Merge etc., just type your topic and its done right from the Word 2010 interface itself.
10. Enhanced Auto Complete & Auto Save Features where the default time is 10 Sec, you can edit it via Help Tab Under Trust Center.

All in all, the Backstage View in Word 2010 provide users with the all the support help required to complete the document.
