If you are GMail User (like I’am), you would get in love with Gmail after reading this post on features to enable within Gmail Service. Personally saying ” I can’t find a better Mailing service then Gmail / Google Mail“. So, thought of sharing some of the Gmail Features, which you need to activate for better and rich mailing. Features in the below list includes the Gmail Labs Features, which are still in experimental mode. Don’t Worry they would not harm you inbox, instead would help you mail in a better way.,

Without wasting your time, as it is a Sunday, would list down the Gmail Features which would make your Mailing a better and more easy.

Offline Gmail :

Gmail goes where internet connective does not !

Now, with the help of Offline Gmail Function, you can access your inbox thought your browser even when you are not connected to the Internet, with all the other features enabled in the Gmail. Write Email, Make Drafts and more over The Drafts made in the Offline Mode would be sent automatically. To Get Started (I Know you can’t Wait) you need to be connected to Internet First and then Enable the Lab Features and Click on the “Offline” Link on the Upper-Right side of your Inbox Near Setting. Undo Send Email :

Now, with the help of Undo Sending Email lab Feature, you can stop sending email you have press the button of send up till 5 sends., As you click on the send button, you can see the message “Undo Sending Email” if you click on the Message, you email would not be sent.

Super Stars :

Adding Super Star Functionality would allow to add different (In total 10 Different) types of Star icons to the individual Mail. Starting from standardize yellow star to Green Tick Mark, so that you can differentiate different type of Mails for later references.

Color Labels :

Adding the Standardize Color Labels can be sometime really boring and difficult to differentiate the mails. As you uses Super Star Function, Now you can use Different Custom Colors for your Labels in the Gmail. Instead of choosing the Standard Color from the Drop Down menu, click add custom colors button and pick your combination and  get custom color labels

Forgot to Add Attachment / Subject :

Most of us, do forget to attach the file and send the mail to the respective person and later find that we have not attached the file, which we were suppose to do. Now with the Forget Attachment Function in the Gmail, you would no more forget to attach Mails as Gmail check the mail before sending and pop ups the message that “Do you Want to Sent Mail without Attachment / Subject” Same Applies to Empty Subject.

Signature Tweak / Random Signature :

Firstly, Signature Tweak and Random Signature from Labs can not be used together. With the help of Signature Tweak Feature enabled you can place your signature before the quoted text in a replied mail, and even remove the “–” line that appears before signatures. Random Signature from the Labs enables the Random Quotes after you name in the Signature.

Click Away | Mark as Read :

It can be very time consuming, opening each mail individually for marking it as Read, when you really do not want to read the Mail. Enabling Mark as Read Functionally from labs, creates the Single Click Button to Mark all the selected mails as Read.

Play Snake Game Within Gmail :

How about playing that Old Monochrome Phone Snake Game Again.While you are checking your E Mails and Feel boring or playing Game for time pass, you can play Snake Game within Gmail, After you Enable the Keyboard Shortcuts from Lab Setting Page and Hit “&” Button on the Keyboard. Enjoy and Tell me the Score .,

Take a Break : Email Addict :

If you are like most of the people on the internet (Email and Chat Addicted) then this is the Labs Features for you all. After Enabling the Email Addict Feature from the Lab Setting Page, you would get the “Take a Break” Link added in your emails and when ever you click on it, you Screen Blanks out and You Get the Message. At least until you reload the page and get back to your email.

Quick Links :

How about having the some of the Favorite links or labels in One Place. Gmail Quick Link Function do the Same, Gives you One Click Access to your bookmarable URL within the Gmail, it can be label, Important Mailer, Relatives, Wife or any thing else.

Create Google Document :

You can create a Google Document, which you can save it in your Google Document Service, if you have the Keyboard Shortcut labs features enabled, by Pressing “G” and then “W” to create a Document containing email conversation or a new blank document for later editing.

Get Email Via Labels :

Now, yet another lab features which works when you have Keyboard Enable Shortcuts in GMail, and let you get all the Mails from the respective Labels by Go to Label Function. Quite useful for Users who are Addicted to Labels. Press “G” and then “L” to see the pop up Window for searching Labels and Emails in respective Labels.

Preview links of Youtube / Picasa / Flickr :

You can preview the link of youtube videos, image/photo links in the email from the Picasso and Flickr right in the mail before you go to visit that link. You Need to enable all the 3 preview links features from the gmail labs tabs. For Example : Shows a video preview whenever you receive a YouTube link in an email. You can watch the video right inline! Shows photos previews whenever you receive a Picasa and Flickr link in an email.

Multiple Inbox :

One of the amazing lab features, which i am really fan of is “Get Multiple inbox” , so that you can access more important emails at one go, by configuring the extra inbox on the basis of labels, superstar and even the search word in the email. The new lists of threads can be labels, your starred messages, drafts or any search you want, configurable under Settings.

Switch Labels and In-build Chat on Right side :

Now, After you enable this lab feature of Gmail to Switch Right Side, you can move your labels and Chat on the right side of the inbox, for better user interface., it depends on the style you are working on., but i personally, do not prefer this feature.
